About Aldercrest Gates & Garage Doors
How We Got Started
Aldercrest Gates & Garage Doors got its start in 2015 when Rylen Lawson decided to go out on his own after spending several years working in the garage door and access control industry around the Aurora area. He had built up enough hands-on experience to handle jobs independently, so he launched the business and began taking on local clients who needed reliable, no-nonsense service.
Since then, Aldercrest has grown into a trusted name for garage door repair, installation, and emergency service throughout the Aurora community. Gate work has remained part of what the company offers for customers who need it, but garage doors are the heart of the business. Rylen still runs the operation and stays closely involved in the day-to-day work.
The customer base has grown steadily over the years through referrals and repeat business, built on the straightforward idea that neighbors deserve to be treated fairly and helped quickly when something goes wrong.
How We Approach Every Job
Accurate Estimates, No Surprises
Before we touch anything, we walk you through what needs to be done and what it will cost. Our estimates are thorough and we stick to them. We don't add charges after the fact or push you toward a new door when a repair is the right call.
We Show Up When We Say We Will
We know your time is valuable. When a spring breaks before work or your door gets stuck at night, you need someone who actually shows up when scheduled. If something genuinely changes, we communicate early — not when you're already waiting.
We Don't Leave Until It's Right
We test the door fully before we pack up — balance check, opener cycle, safety sensor test. If something doesn't work the way it should, we fix it on the spot. If a problem shows up after we leave, we come back. That's just how we operate.
You Deal With the Same Person Throughout
From your first call to the final walkthrough, you work with Rylen directly. No handoffs to a different tech, no office staff relaying messages. That consistency means better communication and a higher standard of accountability on every job.
Meet the Manager
Rylen Lawson
Manager, Aldercrest Gates & Garage Doors
Rylen Lawson runs Aldercrest Gates & Garage Doors, handling installation, repair, and emergency service for residential and commercial garage door systems. He works on all major door and opener types and is comfortable diagnosing both mechanical and electrical issues, from broken springs and worn cables to opener failures and misaligned tracks. He also handles gate installation and repair for customers who need that service. Most of his work comes from repeat customers and neighbors passing his name along.
Rylen keeps his schedule organized and shows up when he says he will. He walks customers through their options clearly, without pushing them toward something they don't need, and makes sure the work is solid before leaving a job site. He handles the estimate, the repair, and any follow-up himself, so you deal with the same person from the first call to the finished job.
Part of the Aurora Community
Being based in Aurora isn't just a business detail — it's what shapes how we work. We understand the garage door brands common to Aurora's housing stock, the HOA requirements in established subdivisions, and the way Colorado weather cycles affect door hardware and springs over time. That local knowledge means we can move jobs along faster and make better recommendations than contractors who are driving in from two counties over.
A broken garage door isn't just an inconvenience — it can leave your home unsecured or your family stuck. When you call Aldercrest Gates & Garage Doors, you're not just another work order in a queue. We're small enough that every job matters to us, and the Aurora families and businesses that have trusted us over the years are the reason we're still here.
